This Privacy Policy outlines how the Test Tracker Google Calendar add-on (the "Add-on") handles user data. This Add-on is designed for use within educational institutions to help faculty schedule and manage student assessments. Test Tracker is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your information.
1. Information Test Tracker Accesses and Modifies
The Test Tracker add-on accesses and, with your explicit permission, modifies the following data from your Google Account:
Google Calendar Data: Test Tracker accesses and can create events on the calendars you have granted permission for to manage student assessments. This includes reading event titles, descriptions, and dates, and writing new events with this information.
Google Sheets Data: Test Tracker accesses the Google Sheets file you have granted permission for to retrieve class rosters and related information.
Test Tracker accesses and modifies this data only for the purpose of the Add-on's functionality. Test Tracker does not collect or store any data that is not necessary for the Add-on to perform its intended functions.
2. How Test Tracker Uses Information
The data accessed and modified by the Add-on is used exclusively to:
Identify students and their corresponding assessments.
Track which students have assessments on a given day.
Create and manage assessment events on specified calendars.
All data processing happens client-side (within your browser or Google environment) and is not transferred to external servers. Test Tracker does not use your data for any other purpose.
3. Data Storage and Security
No class, student, or calendar data is stored by the Add-on's developer. The information is accessed, processed, and written in real-time to provide the Add-on's functionality. All interactions with Google services are secured using OAuth 2.0 protocols, ensuring that your data remains within Google's secure environment. The Add-on operates in compliance with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data Sharing and Transfer
Test Tracker does not share or sell any user data with third parties. No data is transferred to any external parties, including the developer.
5. User Controls and Data Deletion
You have full control over the Add-on's access to your data. You can revoke permission at any time by going to your Google Account settings. If you uninstall the Add-on, all access to your Google data is automatically terminated. Any events created by the Add-on will remain on your calendar unless you manually delete them.
