Privacy Policy for Print My Planner
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Print My Planner web app (the "App") handles your data. The App is designed for faculty and students to convert changing/rotating schedules into a clear, printable format.
1. Data We Access
Print My Planner requests access to specific data from your Google Account to function. We use the following Sensitive Scopes:
Google Calendar (.../auth/calendar.readonly): We read your primary calendar events to identify your schedule. The App cannot see your other calendars, nor can it create, delete, or modify your events.
Google Drive (.../auth/drive.file): We use this to create the Google Doc containing your formatted planner. The App cannot view, edit, or delete any other files in your Drive except for the specific documents it creates.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to provide the App's core functionality:
Identifying calendar events on your selected dates.
Generating a Google Doc with your schedule.
Data Processing: All processing occurs client-side (within your browser). Your calendar data is never sent to our servers or stored in any database.
3. Data Storage & Security
No Personal Data Storage: We do not store your calendar events, Drive files, or profile information on any external servers.
Secure Authentication: We use Google’s OAuth 2.0 protocol. We never see or store your Google password.
Ephemeral Access: Data is accessed and processed in real-time. Once you close the App session, no data remains in the App's memory.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
No Selling of Data: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics services that monitor your activity.
No AI Training: We do not use your calendar data to train any Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning models.
5. Educational Compliance (FERPA)
Print My Planner is designed with the privacy of students and faculty in mind. Because the App does not store or transmit data to external servers, it is designed to be used in a manner consistent with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) requirements for protecting student records.
6. User Control
You can revoke the App's access at any time through your Google Account Security Settings. Revoking access will prevent the App from reading your calendar or creating new Docs but will not delete Docs previously created by the App.
